Thank you for visiting the Coalition of Families
Website. The information that you will find here is designed to assist you in your journey for more
information regarding your loved one. Regardless if it is the Korean War or Cold War, our intent is
to help you find as much information as we can in the timeliest manner possible, and hopefully provide
you with further resources.
With National POW/MIA Recognition Day coming
up September 14, 2004, it gives all of us an opportunity to speak out about the concerns we have as
family members and citizens. I hope that you take the time to at least talk to someone about it, and
by doing this you keep the issue alive. In my hometown community, a joint effort with the local Vietnam
Veterans recognizes POW/MIA Day each year, rain or shine by having an evening vigil. This is a grass
roots effort that has been successful over the years in recognizing those soldiers who are still
unaccounted for from all wars, and the families who still wait for their return. Many other organizations
in my state are planning ceremonies along with communities all across our nation throughout that week.
If you attend a POW/MIA program during the
week of National POW/MIA Recognition Day, I'd like to hear about it. Send me a little blurb along
with you and your missing loved ones name, a short explanation of the event you attended, and if
possible, a picture. We'd like to have this for our next newsletter, and if possible, with your
permission, we will include them on the website. What works best for copying and
transferring are digital pictures.
I am proud of my state Veteran Family and their
concern, passion, and dedication to those who are still missing. Please feel free to contact me at
President@coalitionoffamilies.org and I will be
glad to respond to your requests. You may also send me your POW/MIA event information to this email
address as well.
Take care, and remember that you are not alone
in this journey for truth. We are right there with you!
