The Coalition

Welcomes Its Two

Newest Volunteers

We are happy to announce the generous contribution of time and skill offered by two family members since we requested help in our last newsletter. World War II family member and Vietnam veteran, Wayne Bennett has agreed to take over as editor of the Update & Review, effective this issue. Bennett answered John Zimmerlee’s cry for help and has freed him up to spend more time developing and managing the Coalition’s data base of names and sightings.

Zimmerlee has been a dedicated editor and has developed the newsletter continuously over the past three years. Bennett promises to carry on with the same excellence that John brought to the project, and we look forward to working with him over the coming months. He will, no doubt, bring his own talent and ideas to the newsletter, as did Zimmerlee .

Also joining the team is Korean War family member Shelley Belgard. Belgard has agreed to help fellow Korean War family members Irene Mandra and Lee Hull with Coalition membership duties. These tasks are varied and they are many. Mandra and Hull have faithfully tried to keep up with the demands, but the work has become too much for even two people to handle. We all welcome Belgard to the team.

Administrative duties are generally among the unsung tasks of running an organization. We all look to reports of the news and developments that will, hopefully, bring us answers about our loved ones. It is, however, the less interesting and lower profile work that keeps the Coalition together. We thank our new volunteers for joining the ranks.

Anyone else who wants to join the team is more than welcome!

only thing that ever has.”
